Your alarm needs
looking after too

An intruder alarm installed five years ago and never serviced is not a security system - it's a liability. Batteries degrade. Sensors drift. Connections corrode. An alarm that hasn't been checked might not work when it's actually needed.

As an NSI Silver approved company, we provide annual service visits that test every component, replace consumables and issue an updated compliance certificate. It's the visit your insurer requires - and the peace of mind you deserve.

Every sensor tested
Each detector is walk-tested individually. We check response times, tamper circuits and zone operation - not just a visual inspection.
Batteries replaced
Control panel, detectors, sirens and any wireless devices all have batteries replaced on a scheduled basis - before they fail.
Compliance certificate issued
At the end of every service visit you receive an updated certificate confirming your system meets the required BS EN 50131 standard.
Honest condition report
If we find anything that needs attention - a failing sensor, a corroded contact, an outdated communicator - we'll tell you clearly and quote before touching anything.

Our service plan

What's included
as standard

Our maintenance contract is designed for simplicity - one annual visit covers everything your system needs to stay compliant and working properly.

Annual visit included
One scheduled service visit per year as standard. We contact you when it's due, agree a convenient time, and get it done.
Priority response
Contract customers go to the top of the queue for callouts. If your alarm develops a fault between services, we'll respond faster.
Compliance certificate
Every service visit is documented and a signed certificate issued confirming compliance with the relevant BS EN standard - what your insurer asks to see.

What happens
on the day

A standard annual service visit takes 1–2 hours and causes minimal disruption. Here's exactly what we do.

System log review
We pull the engineer log from your control panel and review any fault history, activations or anomalies since the last visit.

Walk test
Every sensor is individually activated and confirmed at the panel. Door contacts, PIRs, vibration sensors, panic buttons - all tested.

Sounder & siren test
Internal and external sounders triggered and timed. Siren battery backup load-tested. Strobe function confirmed.

Battery & consumables
Panel battery, all wireless device batteries and siren batteries replaced as required. Battery backup load test performed.
5
Certificate & report
You receive a signed compliance certificate, a written engineer's report noting any advisories, and your next service date is confirmed.
